Job summary

ISR Transport is seeking a Systems Configuration Engineer to configure, maintain and support complex software platforms across development, test and production environments, collaborating with Engineering, QA, DevOps, Product and Implementation teams.

The role focuses on managing configuration, releases and host environments across software and embedded systems, with emphasis on traceability, documentation and cross-functional coordination. Remote work is available US-wide.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in systems configuration, systems engineering, software support or technical implementation.
• Experience in ITS, tolling, ATMS or roadside technology environments is a plus.
• Experience supporting enterprise, SaaS, on-premise or hybrid platforms.
• Understanding of configuration, release and change control.

Responsibilities

• Configure software applications, modules and system settings per customer requirements.
• Maintain configuration baselines across dev, test, staging and production.
• Support software releases, deployments, version control and change management.
• Manage feature flags and environment variables for customer configurations.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot configuration and production issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Maintain configuration documentation, runbooks and release records.
• Handle configuration files, build parameters and firmware versions across software and embedded environments.
• Coordinate with Engineering, QA, DevOps and Implementation to ensure traceable config changes.
