Job summary

RC Talent is seeking a Field Systems Specialist for a remote, travel-intensive role across the United States and internationally. You will install network equipment, configure systems, deploy sensors, and ensure customer environments operate as intended.

Work closely with Field Installation Managers, perform health checks, troubleshoot issues, replace field hardware, and document your work. The role requires basic networking knowledge, hands-on problem solving, and willingness to travel

Qualifications

• Technical experience or education involving networking, electronics, low-voltage systems, IT, field service, or related areas.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP addresses, Wi‑Fi, Ethernet, connectivity, troubleshooting).
• Comfortable using hand tools and working with hardware and electronic equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with curiosity to understand why something is not working.
• Able to follow technical instructions while also thinking independently when problems arise.
• Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn new software, mobile applications, networking tools, and technical systems.
• Must be able to work in the United States and willing to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure networking equipment, gateways, wireless sensors, and related system hardware at customer locations.
• Support Field Installation Managers and installation teams during new customer deployments.
• Configure network connectivity and verify that installed equipment is communicating properly with the platform.
• Troubleshoot connectivity, hardware, sensor, and system issues during installation and after deployment.
• Perform routine system health checks at existing customer locations.
• Replace or repair sensors, gateways, networking equipment, and other field hardware as needed.
• Document completed work, equipment changes, troubleshooting steps, and outstanding issues.
• Communicate technical findings clearly to customers and internal teams.
• Follow company, customer, and OSHA safety standards at every job site.
• Support other technical field projects and customer needs as required.
