Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Surveillance Radar Advisor to support NAS modernization for the FAA. This 100% remote role involves heavy travel and delivering expert analysis on radar system upgrades, performance reporting, and program collaboration.

You will work with FAA stakeholders and Peraton teams to ensure safe, reliable airspace through lifecycle sustainment, data-driven decisions, and timely technical documentation.

Qualifications

• US citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• 5+ years with BS/BA; 3+ years with MS/MA; 9+ years with no degree.
• Experience maintaining moderately complex systems such as radars, radios or networks.
• Willingness to travel 75% (1 month on-site, 1–2 weeks remote rotation).

Responsibilities

• Provide SME on radar system integration, operations, and lifecycle sustainment.
• Support FAA surveillance programs with performance analysis, troubleshooting, and modernization planning.
• Observe, capture and report technical data for FAA radar systems.
• Collaborate with FAA stakeholders and engineering teams to align with mission objectives.
• Develop and submit concise technical reports throughout project phases.
• Notify higher Peraton authority of significant risks and potential impacts to schedule.
• Oversee site and vendor technicians and ensure FAA compliance.
• Monitor updated systems after installation and acceptance tests to optimize ATC radar performance.
