Job summary

Peraton seeks a Radar Site Advisor to support BNATCS modernization of the NAS. The role is 100% remote with about 75% onsite travel to rotating locations, serving as a key technical lead for radar system integration and performance reporting.

You will analyze and report on radar systems, collaborate with FAA and contractors, and help implement upgrades for safer, more efficient air travel. Must be a self-starter with strong communication and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Requires US citizenship with ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
• Travel 75% (1 month on-site, 2 weeks remote rotation on average).
• Significant hands-on technical work such as maintenance on radar, radios, or networks.
• Strong self-starter traits; capable of agile, adaptive leadership and conflict resolution.

Responsibilities

• Provide SME on radar system integration, operations, and lifecycle sustainment.
• Support FAA surveillance programs with performance analysis, troubleshooting, and modernization planning.
• Observe, capture and report data pertinent to FAA radar system installation and modernization.
• Collaborate with FAA stakeholders, contractors, and engineering teams to align with mission objectives.
• Develop and submit concise technical and status reports across project phases.
• Provide notification of significant risks and their potential impacts to schedule.
• Oversee site and vendor technicians and ensure FAA mandates compliance.
• Monitor updated radar systems post-installation to optimize ATC performance.
