Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Surveillance Radar Advisor to support modernization and sustainment of NAS/FAA radar systems. You will analyze, advise, and report performance data to implement upgrades critical to safe air travel. The role focuses on short-to-medium range radar systems, contributing to U.S.

aviation infrastructure. This is a 100% remote position with 75% travel, working within the BNATCS contract to advance NAS safety, efficiency, and modernization.

Qualifications

• US citizenship with ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
• 5 years with BS/BA, 3 years with MS/MA, 0 years with PhD, 9 years with no degree.
• Experience with maintenance on radars, radios or networks for documentation and support.
• Capable of independent operation under agile conditions with limited oversight.
• Able to travel roughly 75% (about 1 month on-site, 1-2 weeks remote).
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to assess large data and produce detailed technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide SME on radar system integration, operations, and lifecycle sustainment.
• Support FAA surveillance programs with performance analysis and modernization planning.
• Observe, capture and report technical data for FAA radar installations.
• Collaborate with FAA stakeholders, contractors, and engineering teams.
• Develop concise technical and status reports for each project phase.
• Notify senior Peraton on risks, issues and opportunities with impacts.
• Oversee site and vendor technicians and track equipment schedules.
• Post-installation, monitor systems and calibrations to ensure optimal radar performance.
