Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Radar Site Advisor to support modernization and sustainment of the National Airspace System (NAS) and FAA surveillance systems. You will analyze, advise, and report on performance, support upgrades to the ATC system, and work with FAA stakeholders, contractors, and engineers to meet mission objectives.

This 100% remote position requires about 75% onsite travel to rotating locations, enabling you to lead radar system integration and lifecycle sustainment efforts across sites.

Qualifications

• Must have US citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Significant hands-on technical work on moderately complex systems (radars, radios or networks).
• Proven strong self-starter traits.
• Provide agile and adaptive leadership & support.
• Capable of implementing steps to conflict resolution and deconfliction.
• Capable of independent operation under agile conditions with limited oversight.
• Capable of critical thinking, following processes and procedures.
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
• Capable of assessing a large amount of data and producing detailed technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise on radar system integration, operations, and lifecycle sustainment.
• Support FAA surveillance programs with performance analysis, troubleshooting, and modernization planning.
• Observe, capture and report technical data for installation and modernization of FAA radar systems.
• Collaborate with FAA stakeholders, contractors, and engineering teams to align with mission objectives.
• Develop and submit concise technical reports and status reports through each project phase.
• Notify higher Peraton authority of significant concerns and potential schedule impacts.
• Oversee site and vendor technicians, monitor equipment installation schedules, ensure FAA mandate compliance.
• Post-installation, monitor updated systems and optimize ATC systems through calibrations and testing.
