Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Surveillance Radar Advisor to support NAS modernization and FAA radar systems. The role is 100% remote with about 75% travel, focusing on analysis, troubleshooting, and reporting to guide upgrades and lifecycle sustainment of radar assets.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on radar experience, strong communication, and the ability to operate independently in agile settings. You’ll interact with FAA stakeholders, contractors, and engineering teams to meet program

Qualifications

U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Extensive hands-on radar, radio, or network systems maintenance experience.
Ability to work independently in agile environments with limited oversight.
Travel up to 75% as part of role.

Responsibilities

Provide subject matter expertise on radar system integration, operations, and lifecycle sustainment.
Support FAA surveillance programs with performance analysis, troubleshooting, and modernization planning.
Observe, capture and report technical data relevant to installation and modernization of FAA radar systems.
Collaborate with FAA stakeholders, contractors, and engineering teams to align with mission objectives.
Develop and submit concise technical and status reports through each project phase.
Notify higher Peraton authority of significant concerns (Risks, Issues, Opportunities) and their potential impacts to schedule.
Oversee site and vendor technicians, maintain situational awareness of installation schedules, and ensure FAA mandates compliance.
Post-installation, monitor updated systems and coordinate calibrations, alignments, and testing for optimal radar performance.
