Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Surveillance Radar Advisor to support NAS modernization under the FAA BNATCS contract. You will analyze, advise, and report on radar system integration, operations, and lifecycle sustainment, enabling upgrades to the FAA surveillance network while collaborating with FAA stakeholders and engineers.

This 100% remote role involves about 75% travel to sites for surveys, installations, and testing, and requires hands-on radar experience.

Qualifications

US citizenship with ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
8 years with BS/BA; 6 years with MS/MA; 12 years with no degree.
Hands-on technical work such as maintenance on radar/radios/networks.
Ability to work independently under agile conditions with limited oversight.
Excellent written and verbal communication for technical reports.

Responsibilities

Provide SME on radar system integration, operations, and lifecycle sustainment.
Support FAA surveillance programs with performance analysis, troubleshooting, and modernization planning.
Observe, capture and report data for FAA radar system installation and modernization.
Collaborate with FAA stakeholders, contractors, and engineering teams to meet mission objectives.
Develop concise technical and status reports for each project phase.
Notify leadership of risks and issues with potential schedule impacts.
Oversee site and vendor activities and ensure FAA compliance.
Monitor updated systems post-installation to optimize ATC performance.
