Grady Health System is seeking a CodER III to review physician documentation and assign CPT/ICD-10-CM codes across ER, inpatient, observation, and outpatient records. The role requires strong clinical knowledge and the ability to resolve coding denials and ensure compliant reimbursement.

The successful candidate will have at least four years of coding experience, with two in surgical/ancillary subspecialties or a CCS certification, and strong communication with physicians and management.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of coding experience required, two (2) years in Surgical/Ancillary Diagnostic discipline or 1 year with specialty coding certification.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding conventions.

Responsabilités

• Review and interpret physician documentation for coding accuracy.
• Code highly complex surgical, specialty, inpatient, and outpatient records.
• Query physicians when documentation is unclear to ensure correct coding and reimbursement.
• Corrects failed claim errors to billing edits and denials.
