Job summary

IKS Health seeks an experienced medical coder to provide coding and abstraction services for outpatient, physician, or ER records using ICD-10-CM, CPS, and CPT.

You will review records, assign diagnoses, ensure DRG accuracy, and support coding education within the team. Remote role with focus on quality and productivity.

Candidates should have CPC, COC, CIC, CCS, or RHIT/RHIA credentials and 3+ years in Gen Surg, Ophthalmology, and multi-specialty coding.

Qualifications

• 3+ years coding Gen Surg procedures with Profee and Facility charts.
• 2+ years coding Ophthalmology and multi-speciality charts.
• Epic/3M experience preferred; training available.
• Ability to code diagnosis, E/M and CPTs.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and coding guidelines.
• Must pass coding proficiency test.

Responsibilities

• Review records to identify diagnoses and procedures; assign principal dx and proc.
• Ensure appropriate DRG assignment and abstract relevant information.
• Meet productivity and quality targets; enter charts in real time.
• Clarify ambiguous documentation with physicians as needed.
• Participate in team meetings and training; support education within the group.
• Stay current with Coding Clinic, CPT Assistant, and Official Guidelines.
