Job summary

IKS Health seeks a Full Time Profee & Facility General Surgery Medical Coder to provide remote coding for outpatient, physician or ER records using ICD-10-CM, CPS and CPT systems. Review records, assign codes, ensure DRG accuracy and contribute to education within the team.

Remote, USA-based role requires at least 3 years in Gen Surg coding, Epic/3M experience preferred. Competitive hourly pay and benefits align with market norms for experienced coders.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3 years of surgery coding experience including Gen Surg.
• Profee and Facility charts coding experience.
• Experience coding diagnosis, E/M and CPTs.
• Maintain up-to-date credentials and participate in ongoing training.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records to identify diagnoses and procedures for coding.
• Select principal diagnosis, principal procedure, and related codes per guidelines.
• Ensure accurate DRG assignment and proper chart abstraction.
• Enter coded charts in real time and meet productivity and quality targets.
