Job summary

Collins Aerospace is recruiting for a remote-based role in the United States to lead supplier quality initiatives and collaboration across RTX’s supply chain. You will manage onboarding, certification, and source inspection, while driving corrective actions and continuous improvement with cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes analytics, PPAP, and ensuring contract requirements are met, with travel up to 50% and strong communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
• Background in Electronics.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to speak effectively with executives and employees.
• 6+ years professional experience in a supply chain operations environment (monitoring, auditing, developing suppliers/operations) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manages supplier quality performance through prevention, monitoring/escalation processes, processing of supplier submission of nonconforming material.
• Manages/Supports supplier onboarding and qualification/certification.
• Manages source inspection and material release processes.
• Performs Escape management procedures, drives root cause analysis & problem solving and recommends corrective and preventive action for systemic supplier process and product materials.
• Supports the RTX supplier programs to ensure healthy continuous improvement and sustainability.
• Analyzes quality data to identify systemic issues and develops supplier specific quality initiative strategies; addressing them with key proactive quality tools (e.g. PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow and Control Plans, SPC, etc.), as well as driving their implementation.
• Ensures that supplier is capable to meet all contract requirements including Resourcing Gate, Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) acceptance and Work Transfer implementation.
• Adapts and uses multiple forms of interaction styles to convince and / or persuade people / stakeholders to follow ideas and proposals.
• Uses flexible and adaptable working styles to build and develop effective cross-functional teamwork.
• Travels up to 50%.
