Job summary

ENERCON Services, Inc. is hiring a Substation Designer - Protection & Controls to design and draft protection schemes for substations, collaborate across disciplines, and provide field support during construction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Substation designing, with a primary focus on executing protection and control projects.
• Familiarity with relay protection schemes.
• Experience with MicroStation and AutoCAD.
• Willingness to travel for client site visits and project meetings.
• Must be self-driven in time management to meet deadlines and communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Substation Design & Drafting: Develop electric substation drawings, including schematics, wiring diagrams, control panel layouts, and control building layouts.
• Engineering Analysis & Calculations: Perform substation design calculations and analysis such as voltage drop and conduit fill.
• Collaboration & Quality Assurance: Work closely with peers to ensure accurate and on-time delivery of electrical design that meets client and industry standards, specifications, and good engineering practices.
• Field Support: Providing on-site technical support for select ENERCON clients during construction and commissioning as required.
