Job summary

ICF is seeking a Substation P&C Designer to work on relay, protection and control projects for high voltage substations ranging 12kV to 500kV, under the Electrical Project Lead. The role is remote within the US, offering flexible work arrangements and a strong focus on quality engineering services.

You will design protection and control drawings, coordinate with multiple disciplines, and ensure adherence to standards and QA/QC processes.

Qualifications

• AA or High School Diploma.
• Experience with substation (transmission) design.
• 3+ years of detailed wiring design experience, developing single lines, schematics and relay panels.
• 3+ years of experience working with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Inventor, and MicroStation.

Responsibilities

• Design and prepare Protection and Control Drawings for substations: Substation Relay One Lines and Three Lines, AC/DC Schematics, Substation Panel Layouts, Substation Wiring Diagram and Cable Schedule, SCADA and Communication Diagrams, Point to Point Wiring Diagrams.
• Coordinate with physical, settings, and drafting disciplines to ensure quality deliverables.
• Interpret and incorporate vendor information into design deliverables.
• Apply client standards related to the work.
• Perform/ensure QA/QC processes are followed on all design packages.
• Continuously improve engineering knowledge and performance.
