Job summary

ICF Olson is seeking a Substation Protection & Control Designer to work on relay, protection and control projects for high voltage substations from 12kV to 500kV. This remote US role collaborates with the Electrical Project Lead to deliver robust design packages.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years wiring design experience, substation transmission design, and proficiency with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Inventor and MicroStation. Full-time, remote position with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

AA or high school diploma required.
3+ years of detailed wiring design experience with single lines, schematics and relay panels.
3+ years of experience with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Inventor and MicroStation.

Responsibilities

Create Substation Relay One Lines and Three Lines AC/DC Schematics.
Develop Substation Panel Layouts and Wiring Diagrams.
Produce SCADA and Communication Diagrams and Point-to-Point Wiring Diagrams.
Coordinate with drafting, settings and other disciplines to ensure quality deliverables.
Incorporate vendor information and apply client standards to designs.
Contribute to QA/QC processes and ongoing professional knowledge improvement.
