Job summary

ICF Power Delivery Services in Remote US is seeking a Substation P&C Designer to design relay and protection and control projects for HV substations at 12kV–500kV under the direction of the Electrical Project Lead.

Responsibilities include drawing preparation (One Lines, Schematics, Panels, Wiring Diagrams, SCADA), coordination with disciplines, and vendor data incorporation while applying client standards and ensuring QA/QC on all packages. This role emphasizes continuous professional growth.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of detailed wiring design experience.
  • Experience with Bluebeam, AutoCAD and MicroStation.
  • Understanding of AC/DC control diagrams and point-to-point wiring.
  • Knowledge of NEC, NESC, IEEE and ANSI.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

  • Design and prepare Protection and Control Drawings: Substation Relay One Lines, SLDs, AC/DC Schematics, Panel Layouts, Wiring Diagrams, SCADA and Communication Diagrams.
  • Coordinate with phys/drafting disciplines to ensure quality deliverables.
  • Incorporate vendor information into design deliverables.
  • Apply client standards to the work.
  • Perform QA/QC on all design packages.
  • Pursue continuous improvement of engineering knowledge and performance.
