Job summary

NEI Electric Power Engineering seeks a Substation Project Engineer to lead portions of multi-disciplinary substation projects, performing design and analysis across physical and protection & control disciplines.

You will contribute technical expertise, support project execution, perform QA/QC reviews, and collaborate to deliver high-quality NEI standards. 5+ years of experience and FE/PE preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institute.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• FE/PE licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead portions of multi-disciplinary substation projects and perform engineering design and analysis.
• Provide day-to-day technical leadership for scope, budget, and schedule.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers in substation design practices.
• Review contractor and vendor submittals for technical compliance.
• Prepare cost estimates, budget reports and proposals for complex projects.
