Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Substation Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing team delivering critical power infrastructure across North and South America. Remote work is available, with responsibilities spanning planning, design, and construction support for utilities, renewables, and data centers.

You will mentor engineers, build client relationships, and drive technical excellence while growing the Energy practice.

Qualifications

• BS/BA plus 12 years of related experience with at least 4 years in leadership or practice-building
• PE licensure
• U.S. citizenship is required

Responsibilities

• Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of substation engineers
• Building strong relationships with utility, renewable energy, and industrial clients
• Supporting the successful delivery of substation projects from planning through construction
• Providing technical oversight and QA/QC
• Partnering with regional leadership to grow the business and identify opportunities
• Leading recruitment, career development, and team engagement initiatives
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across AECOM's Energy practice
