Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Lead Substation Electrical Engineer to join our Energy practice in a remote role based anywhere in the United States. You will lead the design and delivery of utility-scale substations, providing technical leadership and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline plus 6 years of relevant experience or equivalent
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
Experience with transmission and distribution substation projects a plus

Responsibilities

Lead engineering tasks and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality substation designs on schedule and within budget
Provide technical oversight for substation protection, grounding, and control integration
Develop and review one-line diagrams, protection schemes, equipment specifications, and procurement packages
Mentor engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams across energy projects
