Job summary

AECOM has an opening for a Substation Engineer specializing in physical substation design. The role supports power delivery projects and can be remote or based in any US office including Dallas, TX, with focus on electrical engineering for utility-scale substations.

The candidate will work on detailed assignments, perform calculations, and assist in design and project coordination under moderate supervision. HV substation expertise and AutoCAD/Bentley skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering is required.
• EIT Certification or ability to obtain one within 2 years of hire.
• Experience with high voltage substation design.
• Proficient in AutoCAD or Bentley MicroStation.

Responsibilities

• Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment under supervision.
• Gathers and correlates engineering data using established procedures.
• Works on routine engineering tasks including calculations and simple tests.
• Provides guidance to entry level engineers and ensures work meets budget and schedule.
