Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Substation Engineering Manager to lead and grow a talented team delivering critical power infrastructure projects across North and South America. This role requires building strong client relationships with utilities, renewable energy developers, and data centers, while ensuring high technical standards and project delivery excellence.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree with 12+ years related experience; at least 4 years in leadership or building a practice
• PE certification required; U.S. citizenship required
• PE licensed in multiple states is preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of substation engineers
• Build strong relationships with utility, renewable energy, and industrial clients
• Oversee delivery of substation projects from planning through construction support
• Provide technical oversight, QA/QC, and risk management
• Partner with regional leadership to grow the business and identify new opportunities
• Drive technical excellence, safety, and innovation across projects
• Lead recruitment, career development, and team engagement
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across AECOM’s Energy practice
