Job summary

Hanwha Qcells USA Corp is seeking a Subcontracts Specialist to manage the subcontract buyout process from RFP to execution, coordinating with multiple internal groups. The role supports complex, high-cost, high-risk subcontracts and requires strong communication and negotiation skills.

The position is remote with standard U.S. hours, may require up to 10% travel, and reports to the Senior Subcontracts Manager. Authorized for work in the United States and sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 3-5 years of experience in Construction Contracts/Subcontracts Management and/or Procurement.
• Sr. Specialist level requires 4-6 years in Procurement/Subcontracts Management.
• Minimum 2 years in solar/construction projects >$30M procurement of equipment/material or subcontracting.
• Solar or Renewable Energy experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Subcontracts management including RFP, formation, terms and conditions, execution and administration.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, professional team environment with minimal supervision.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Procore experience preferred.
• SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer the RFP Process with limited direction and develop bid lists.
• Prepare/issue Solicitations and RFPs to qualified subcontractors with cross-group coordination.
• Determine and maintain bid schedules aligned to project timelines.
• Coordinate responses to RFIs from bidders.
• Receive and file Subcontractor proposals per document management processes.
• Review Subcontractor proposals and prepare commercial bid evaluations for review and award.
• Facilitate technical bid evaluations as applicable.
• Prepare award recommendations and, with Legal, negotiate Subcontract Agreements.
• Perform Subcontract formation, approval routing and execution.
• Perform Subcontractor pre-qualifications and management in ERP.
• Maintain Subcontractor pricing database for historical analysis.
• Maintain accurate records per retention procedures.
• Regular attendance per policy.
