Job summary

Hanwha Qcells USA Corp is hiring a Subcontracts Specialist – Qualification and Relations to manage the subcontractor qualification process, build relationships with prospective and approved subcontractors, and coordinate with multiple functions to ensure scope execution. The role supports Avetta entry and reports to the Senior Subcontracts Manager/Director, with a hybrid schedule and up to 30% travel.

Qualifications

• Understanding different scopes of work required to construct a utility scale solar project.
• Knowledge of basic financial status of a company and how to read a balance sheet.
• Ability to work on own in a fast pace, professional, team environment with minimal supervision.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Understand schedule deadlines and drive action items toward completion in accordance with required dates/deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Confidence and ability to interact with people at all levels of the organization.
• Understanding of construction management software systems (Procore preferred) and SAP basic knowledge + Microsoft Office suite.
• Able to identify, investigate and solve problems that might arise with order and in timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Administer the Subcontractor Qualification process with limited direction; initiate the Qualification Process.
• Source new subcontractors and start the Qualification Process.
• Follow up with non-responsive subcontractors.
• Receive, review and submit NDAs for countersignature.
• Maintain qualification documents per filing procedures.
• Review and score Subcontractors per the Qualification Evaluation process.
• Maintain regular communication with Subcontractors on status and opportunities.
• Update Subcontractor Resource Base and licensing records.
• Review NDA redlines with legal as needed; manage NDA validity.
• Enter qualified Subcontractors into ERP and maintain records.
