Job summary

CIEE, a nonprofit study abroad organization, is seeking a Study Abroad Advisor to drive enrollment for our international programs and provide exceptional customer service to students preparing for study abroad experiences.

The role requires advising on admissions, visas, and pre-departure procedures, with opportunities to engage with campuses and international partners. Domestic and international travel may be required occasionally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or international equivalent.
• 2-3 years of work experience in a sales and/or customer service-oriented field.
• International study or work experience is required.
• Demonstrated success in achieving sales or enrollment targets is preferred.
• Strong service skills and the ability to resolve issues fairly and expediently with empathy.
• Must be a team player and self-starter with good judgment on time management.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed enrollment targets by converting applicants to paid participants.
• Review applications and administer admission decisions for a specific program region.
• Maintain knowledge of each program location and discuss components with applicants.
• Develop strategies to prepare students for onsite experiences and improve conversion.
• Proactively contact applicants, participants, parents, and institutional study-abroad advisors throughout the pre-departure process.
• Advise students on visa and immigration processes and liaise with consulates and visa broker.
