Job summary

Mountain Community Online School (MCOS) is a fully remote statewide public charter program serving grades 4–8, operated by The Mountain Community School in Western North Carolina. The Success Coach serves as the consistent point of contact for students and families, guiding onboarding, monitoring attendance, coordinating interventions, and helping students progress in courses and Climb Higher Projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage a high volume of student relationships with organization.
• Reliable internet access and a dedicated home workspace.

Responsibilities

• Guide onboarding for new and returning students and families.
• Monitor attendance and engagement; initiate timely outreach after disengagement.
• Coordinate interventions and track progress with families and teachers.
• Support Climb Higher Projects and school community activities.
