Job summary

Tetra Tech's High-Performance Building division is seeking a full-time Mid-Level Structural Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will tackle challenging structural projects across various sectors, collaborating with engineers, architects, and project managers.

Flexible remote, hybrid, or in-office work options are available, with travel to client sites as needed. Ideal candidates have an ABET-accredited degree, 4+ years experience, EIT certification, and proficiency in structural

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering.
• 4+ years of structural engineering experience in A&E or government contracting/consulting.
• EIT certification; eligible to sit for PE within 12 months.
• Proficiency with Revit, RISA-3D, SAP2000, and Bluebeam.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record; willingness to travel (5%).
• U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Support the structural design and analysis of facilities projects under senior staff guidance.
• Lead portions of design work and contribute to multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Design structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and foundation systems for new buildings.
• Prepare structural calculations, drawings, and specifications per codes and standards.
• Conduct field investigations and assist in condition assessment reports.
• Coordinate with architects, other engineering disciplines, and stakeholders throughout the design process.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate drafting efforts.
• Model structural systems in Revit and assist with BIM coordination.
• Ensure design complies with local/state codes and UFC guidelines.
• Use RISA to perform analysis and design tasks.
• Assist in managing project schedules and deliverables.
