Job summary

Tetra Tech's High-Performance Building division is seeking a full-time Mid-Level Structural Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will work on challenging projects across various construction types in the US, with flexible remote or hybrid options.

You will design structural systems, prepare calculations and drawings, mentor junior staff, coordinate with architects and other disciplines, and ensure compliance with codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 4+ years of structural engineering experience in A&E or government contracting.
• EIT certification; eligible to sit for PE within 12 months.
• Experience with steel, concrete, masonry design and related codes.

Responsibilities

• Support design and analysis of facilities under senior staff guidance.
• Lead portions of design work and participate in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Design steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and foundations for buildings.
• Prepare calculations, drawings, and specifications per codes.
• Perform field investigations and write condition assessment reports.
• Coordinate with architects, other disciplines and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and manage drafting efforts.
• Model systems in Revit and assist BIM coordination.
• Ensure compliance with local/state codes and UFC guidelines.
• Utilize RISA for analysis and design tasks, monitor schedules.
