Job summary

Tetra Tech, Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level Structural Engineer to join our Structural Engineering team. This full-time role can be performed remotely or in a hybrid setting from a wide range of locations across the United States.

The candidate should have a bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering (ABET-accredited), 4+ years of relevant experience, EIT certification, and proficiency with Revit, RISA-3D, SAP2000, and Bluebeam. Willingness to travel and U.S. citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree with emphasis on Structural Engineering.
• 4+ years of structural engineering experience in A&E or government contracting/consulting.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; eligible to sit for PE within 12 months.
• Experience with structural steel, concrete, masonry design.
• Travel to client offices and sites as needed (5%).
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Support structural design and analysis under senior staff guidance.
• Lead portions of design work and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Design structures: steel, concrete, masonry, foundations.
• Prepare calculations, drawings, specifications per codes.
• Perform field investigations and condition assessments.
• Coordinate with architects and other disciplines.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate drafting.
• Model in Revit and assist BIM coordination.
• Ensure compliance with local/state codes and UFC guidelines.
• Use RISA for analysis and design tasks.
• Assist in managing project schedules and deliverables.
