Tetra Tech is seeking an Intermediate Structural Engineer to join our Power team. This role can be performed remotely from anywhere in the United States, with the candidate licensed to practice in California ideal.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in structural engineering for high voltage substations, transmission lines, and power facilities.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in California (USA).
• Experience with transmission station structures and overhead lines with voltages ≥115 kV.
• Experience in heavy industrial structures (steel, concrete, wood, masonry), preferably in power.
• Strong skills with AutoCAD, MS Office, and structural analysis software (STAAD, SFrame, RISA).

Responsabilités

• Perform structural design calculations and prepare/mark up drawings for drafting.
• Lead small project teams and coordinate multi-discipline work.
• Collaborate with project managers, vendors, and clients to ensure design clarity and timely delivery.
• Document and track project tasks and design documents.
• Support procurement activities and supplier bid reviews.
• Monitor schedules and budgets within your scope and report status regularly.
