Job summary

SEH seeks a Structural/Bridge Engineer to join our Colorado-based bridge team, with options for in Denver or remote work within Colorado/Arizona. You will support analysis, design, inspections and cost estimation for transportation structures across the region.

The role requires a PE license, strong communication, and travel readiness; experience with OpenBridge, RISA and L-Pile is preferred. SEH is employee-owned and offers growth paths and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structural engineering.
• PE license required; Colorado and/or Arizona licensure preferred, with others considered a plus.
• NCEES record expected within 6 months of hire.
• Experience with Bentley OpenBridge, RISA, and L-Pile.
• Familiarity with AASHTO bridge design requirements and CDOT/ADOT criteria.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills; ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of transportation structures including bridges, culverts, retaining walls and other elements.
• Prepare engineering reports such as existing structure assessments and feasibility studies.
• Perform bridge and culvert inspections and load ratings.
• Prepare calculations and load-rating packages using OpenBridge, RISA, L-Pile and related tools.
• Coordinate with clients, agencies, contractors and project teams.
• Visit sites and observe construction activities and fabrications as needed.
