Job summary

SEH, an employee-owned engineering firm, seeks a Horizontal Engineer - Structural/Bridge to join the Structural Practice. The role may be based in Denver or a remote location in Colorado or Arizona, supporting projects across Colorado and the Western United States.

Responsibilities include structural analysis, design, inspections, and report preparation using Bentley OpenBridge, RISA, and L-Pile, with travel to project sites as needed. A PE license (CO/AZ preferred) and NCEES record are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structural engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Colorado and/or Arizona licensure preferred, with licensure in other states considered a plus.
• NCEES record should be updated within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of transportation structures, including bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and ancillary structures using steel, reinforced concrete, precast/prestressed concrete, and other materials.
• Prepare engineering reports, including existing structure assessments, feasibility studies, and structure selection reports.
• Perform bridge and culvert inspections and load ratings.
• Prepare structural calculations and load rating packages using OpenBridge, RISA, and L-Pile.
