Job summary

SEH is seeking a Horizontal Engineer - Structural / Bridge to join our Structural Practice. This role supports an established bridge design and inspection practice serving projects across Colorado and the Western United States, with potential base in Denver or remote locations in Colorado or Arizona.

The successful candidate will bring a Civil Engineering degree, PE license, and strong experience in structural analysis and design of transportation structures, including bridges and culverts,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis.
• PE license required; Colorado/Arizona licensure preferred.
• Experience with structural analysis and design software.
• Ability to travel to project sites and coordinate with clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of transportation structures (bridges, culverts, walls) using multiple material types.
• Prepare engineering reports, feasibility studies, and structure selection reports.
• Perform bridge and culvert inspections and load ratings.
• Develop calculations and load rating packages using OpenBridge, RISA, and L-Pile.
• Coordinate with clients, agencies, and contractors; visit project sites as needed.
• Review shop drawings and submittals during construction.
