Job summary

MAXIMUS is seeking a strategic bid and solution design leader to build end-to-end, tailored delivery solutions for public sector opportunities, aligning customer needs with affordable, high‑quality outcomes.

You will lead cross‑functional teams, manage stakeholder relationships, and shape the solution narrative from bid through transition, leveraging service design, value delivery and partner onboarding to achieve trusted, measurable results.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable service design experience - capturing existing customer journeys and leading the re-imagination of future customer journeys via facilitated workshops
• Experience identifying how technology can improve customer experience and increase value for money and the documentation of functional technology requirements
• Prior experience of Public Sector bidding within Employability, Health, Justice or Contact Centre environments
• Proven ability working with key bid team and wider solution workstream stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Builds an understanding of the market and bid opportunity to develop a tailored solution
• Understands the industry and gains an appreciation of the business drivers, constraints, and opportunities in that vertical market
• Is pro-active with the customer engagement to manage stakeholders, test understanding, refine requirements and develop workable solutions
• Fully understands the client business, functional and non‑functional requirements
• Design and develop high‑quality, tailored and costed delivery solutions in collaboration with subject matter experts and operations colleagues to achieve the service users' needs and the customer's objectives
• Understand what represents the very best from a service provider in the given sector
