Job summary

Jerry.ai is seeking a Strategic Finance Manager to own the operating model, planning cadence, and spend discipline while partnering with executives. You’ll lead budgeting, forecasting, and executive storytelling, shaping opportunities in products, verticals, channels, and partnerships as the company scales.

You will build driver-based models, manage the planning cycle, and translate results into insight for the CFO, founders, and investors. Remote-friendly, with offices in select cities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a similarly quantitative field.
• Strong financial modeling skills: driver-based operating models, three-statement mechanics, scenario analysis.
• Experience with unit economics in consumer or marketplace businesses (CAC, LTV, payback).
• Track record translating complex analysis into clear executive narratives for leadership.
• Startup or high-growth experience, including building processes from scratch.
• Hands-on fluency with AI tools for analysis, research, and workflow automation.

Responsibilities

• Own the driver-based operating model for the base business and expand it as we launch new products.
• Run the annual budget and long-range planning end-to-end with cadence and assumptions.
• Own the monthly and quarterly forecast cycle and variance analysis; explain movements to leadership.
• Write executive narratives for the CFO, founders, board, and investors.
• Lead monthly business reviews with functional leaders and drive data-driven decisions.
• Support implementation and rollout of a planning system.
• Build financial models for new product/vertical/channel/partnership opportunities.
• Monitor CAC, LTV, payback, retention, contribution margin, and other economics.
• Support corporate development with diligence, modeling, and transaction analysis.
• Frame build/buy/partner decisions with clear frameworks.
