Job summary
DS Smith Plc is seeking an Account Manager to lead development, retention and growth of an existing portfolio in FMCG and industrial sectors. You will manage account plans, drive margin improvements and partner with Design and Innovation teams to deliver tailored, sustainable packaging offers.
The role is remote with regular travel across the Midlands and South East, requiring a drive license and strong presentation and negotiation skills.
Qualifications
- Proven success, knowledge, and experience in an Account Management role within FMCG – packaging experience highly desirable but will welcome experience in other areas.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to analyse financial insights and act on them.
- Ability to present professionally and deliver compelling pitches.
Responsibilities
- Lead account plans to secure organic revenue growth and margin improvements.
- Build deep partnerships across FMCG and industrial sectors.
- Coordinate with Design and Innovation teams to translate customer needs into sustainable packaging solutions.
- Manage account metrics and provide accurate forecasts via CRM.
- Collaborate across regional sales networks and operations to maximise opportunities.
