Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Presales Manager to lead a storage presales team across commercial, public sector and channel segments. You will build a high-performing team with technical credibility and own pipeline growth, working directly with customers and partners to drive storage solutions.

You will set direction, coach engineers, and collaborate with sales leadership to position HPE as the storage platform of choice, delivering wins and customer success across complex deals.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of technical presales experience in the storage industry.
• 3+ years leading or managing presales or technical teams.
• Proven track record of building high-performing teams and growing pipeline and revenue across direct and partner sales models.
• Experience supporting multiple customer segments, such as commercial, public sector or channel.
• Strong technical background in enterprise storage and data management, including block, file, backup, ransomware protection and hybrid cloud.
• Working knowledge of virtualization (VMware or KVM-based environments), major application stacks, and at least one major public cloud (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud).
• Deep competitive knowledge of the storage market and major vendors.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of presales engineers and technical architects across segments, and build a culture of technical excellence, accountability and collaboration.
• Hire, onboard and retain top technical talent, and build clear development plans, certification paths and career growth for each team member.
• Set team goals and priorities that line up with HPE storage and segment business objectives, and measure performance against them.
• Align engineer coverage to accounts, partners and territories to maximize impact and pipeline growth.
