Job summary

Symetra is seeking a dedicated STD Claims Analyst to manage Short-Term Disability, SDI and Absence Management claims. You will make timely decisions, gather information from clinical, vocational, employer and financial sources, and compare data to contract terms and procedures to render outcomes.

Maintain thorough documentation, uphold regulatory standards, and support teammates with empathetic service while meeting performance targets in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of cumulative, relevant experience in claims or disability areas.
• Knowledge of disability claims and related processes.
• Bi-lingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Make timely, accurate STD, SDI, and AM claim decisions.
• Gather information from clinical, vocational, employer and financial sources.
• Compare data to contracts and procedural documents and render decisions quickly.
• Document claims accurately and communicate clearly with internal and external parties.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and team metrics.
