Job summary

Symetra is seeking a STD Claims Analyst - WBI to make timely, accurate claim decisions across Short-Term Disability, SDI, and Absence Management. You will gather information from clinical, vocational, employer, and financial sources and verify it against contracts.

You will document findings, communicate clearly, and support regulatory compliance. The role emphasizes empathetic customer service, teamwork, and adherence to performance metrics, with flexible full-time or hybrid telecommuting

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
• 2-5 years of cumulative, relevant experience.
• Bi-lingual is a plus.
• Knowledge of disability claims.

Responsibilities

• Make timely, accurate STD, SDI, and AM new and ongoing claim decisions with data from clinical, vocational, employer, and financial sources.
• Compare gathered information against contracts and documents; render timely decisions.
• Document claims in the system with precision and communicate outcomes clearly.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and team performance metrics.
