Job summary

Symetra is seeking an LTD Case Manager to make timely, accurate Long-Term Disability claim decisions. You will actively gather data from clinical, vocational, employer, and financial sources and assess this information against contract terms and procedures.

You will document the claim system with precision and communicate clearly with internal and external contacts to drive effective outcomes. The role requires empathetic customer service, adherence to regulatory requirements, and collaboration

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required.
• 2-5 years of cumulative, relevant experience.
• Ability to interpret policy language.

Responsibilities

• Make timely, accurate LTD claim decisions for new and ongoing cases.
• Gather information from clinical, vocational, employer, financial and other sources.
• Assess information against contract terms and procedural documents.
• Document the claim system accurately and completely.
• Communicate clearly in writing and verbally with internal/external contacts.
• Prepare and apply a claim management plan for optimum outcomes.
