Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking an experienced Manager of Statutory Insurance Accounting to support its Insurance Accounting organization on a remote, 6-month contract. The role leads state regulatory compliance across multiple entities, ensures timely statutory filings, and oversees Bluebook reporting.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years in insurance accounting, hands-on experience with Sovos Wings, and strong regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of insurance accounting with a focus on statutory accounting (Bluebook reporting).
• Hands-on experience with Sovos Wings and regulatory filings.
• Experience preparing and managing state insurance regulatory filings.
• Strong knowledge of insurance regulatory compliance requirements.
• Ability to manage filing calendars and deliverables across multiple entities.

Responsibilities

• Lead state regulatory compliance and sundry filing activities for multiple entities.
• Own and manage the filing calendar with strict deadlines.
• Prepare and submit state insurance regulatory filings and related docs.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather filing information.
• Investigate filing issues and regulator inquiries; ensure compliance.
• Provide hands-on statutory accounting support to the Insurance Accounting team.
• Document processes and controls for knowledge transfer and continuity.
