Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking an experienced Statutory Insurance Accounting Manager to support its Insurance Accounting organization on a high-impact contract engagement. This hands-on role leads state regulatory compliance across multiple entities, ensuring timely statutory filings and Bluebook reporting.

The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of statutory accounting, state filings, and Sovos Wings, and can own the compliance calendar, drive deliverables with minimal oversight, and document

Qualifications

• 7+ years of insurance accounting experience with a strong focus on statutory accounting (Bluebook reporting).
• Hands-on experience with Sovos Wings.
• Experience preparing and managing state insurance regulatory filings and sundry filings.
• Strong knowledge of insurance regulatory compliance requirements.
• Ability to independently manage filing calendars, deadlines, and deliverables across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and process improvement skills.
• Experience with SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute state regulatory compliance and sundry filing activities across multiple insurance entities.
• Own and manage the filing calendar, ensuring all regulatory deadlines are met.
• Prepare, review, and submit state insurance regulatory filings and related documentation.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather supporting information required for filings.
• Investigate and resolve filing issues, regulator inquiries, and follow-up requests.
• Monitor compliance requirements across various jurisdictions and ensure adherence to applicable regulations.
• Provide hands‑on statutory accounting support to the Insurance Accounting team.
• Document key processes and controls to support knowledge transfer and operational continuity.
