Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a seasoned Manager of Statutory Insurance Accounting for a remote, 6-month contract focused on regulatory compliance and statutory reporting across multiple insurance entities. The role requires deep expertise in statutory accounting and state filings, with hands-on use of Sovos Wings to manage deadlines and deliverables.

The ideal candidate will own the regulatory calendar, drive accurate Bluebook reporting, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely filings

Qualifications

• 7+ years of insurance accounting experience with a strong focus on statutory accounting (Bluebook reporting).
• Hands-on experience with Sovos Wings.
• Experience preparing and managing state insurance regulatory filings and sundry filings.
• Strong knowledge of insurance regulatory compliance requirements.
• Ability to independently manage filing calendars, deadlines, and deliverables across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and process improvement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute state regulatory compliance and sundry filing activities across multiple insurance entities.
• Own and manage the filing calendar, ensuring all regulatory deadlines are met.
• Prepare, review, and submit state insurance regulatory filings and related documentation.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather supporting information required for filings.
• Investigate and resolve filing issues, regulator inquiries, and follow-up requests.
• Monitor compliance requirements across various jurisdictions and ensure adherence to applicable regulations.
• Provide hands-on statutory accounting support to the Insurance Accounting team.
• Document key processes and controls to support knowledge transfer and operational continuity.
