Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking an experienced Statutory Accounting & State Compliance Manager to support its Insurance Accounting organization on a high-impact contract engagement. This hands-on role will lead state regulatory compliance activities across multiple insurance entities, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of statutory filings, Bluebook reporting, and related regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of insurance accounting experience with a strong focus on statutory accounting.
• Hands-on experience with Sovos Wings.
• Experience preparing and managing state insurance regulatory filings and sundry filings.
• Strong knowledge of insurance regulatory compliance requirements.
• Ability to independently manage filing calendars, deadlines, and deliverables across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and process improvement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute state regulatory compliance and sundry filing activities across multiple insurance entities.
• Own and manage the filing calendar, ensuring all regulatory deadlines are met.
• Prepare, review, and submit state insurance regulatory filings and related documentation.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather supporting information required for filings.
• Investigate and resolve filing issues, regulator inquiries, and follow-up requests.
• Monitor compliance requirements across various jurisdictions and ensure adherence to applicable regulations.
• Provide hands-on statutory accounting support to the Insurance Accounting team.
• Document key processes and controls to support knowledge transfer and operational continuity.
