Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking an experienced Manager, Statutory Insurance Accounting to lead state regulatory compliance and statutory filings for a high-impact contract engagement on a remote basis. You will coordinate with multiple insurance entities and own the compliance calendar.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in insurance accounting, hands-on experience with Sovos Wings, and a strong track record with Bluebook reporting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of insurance accounting experience with a focus on statutory accounting.
• Hands-on experience with Sovos Wings.
• Experience preparing and managing state regulatory filings.
• Strong knowledge of insurance regulatory compliance requirements.
• Ability to independently manage filing calendars across multiple entities.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and process improvement skills.
• Experience with SAP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute state regulatory compliance and sundry filing activities across multiple insurance entities.
• Own and manage the filing calendar, ensuring all regulatory deadlines are met.
• Prepare, review, and submit state insurance regulatory filings and related documentation.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather supporting information required for filings.
• Investigate and resolve filing issues, regulator inquiries, and follow-up requests.
• Monitor compliance requirements across various jurisdictions and ensure adherence to applicable regulations.
• Provide hands‑on statutory accounting support to the Insurance Accounting team.
• Document key processes and controls to support knowledge transfer and operational continuity.
