Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools is seeking a Part-Time State Reporting Analyst to ensure accuracy and compliance of student data used for VDOE state reporting. The role conducts audits of student information system data, resolves discrepancies, and collaborates with schools and central office staff to correct issues before state submissions.

You will develop training resources, monitor data quality trends, and serve as a subject matter expert on reporting rules and processes.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or higher and experience with business analysis, databases, software, technology solutions, computer information science, data science, or applied mathematics.
• Minimum of five years of direct experience supporting the Virginia Department of Education state reporting, including student record collections, data validation, auditing, and resolution of reporting errors.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed audits of student information system data to identify errors, inconsistencies, and potential state reporting compliance issues.
• Review and validate data used for VDOE state collections and submissions, ensuring adherence to reporting requirements, timelines, and business rules.
• Partner with school-based and central office staff to investigate data anomalies, communicate findings, and facilitate timely corrections.
• Develop and deliver training, documentation, and support resources that improve schools' understanding of data entry requirements and reporting expectations.
• Monitor recurring data quality trends and recommend process improvements, validation procedures, and system enhancements to reduce reporting errors and improve data integrity.
