Job summary

GAINSCO is seeking a strong Manager, State Product Management to lead P&C product profitability across assigned states. You will drive pricing, filings, and collaboration with Sales, Actuarial, Marketing, IT and Testing to optimize state products and growth.

The role requires 7+ years in Product/Actuarial within P&C, with 4+ years in state management, and fluency in SQL/SAS/Python. Remote work is available with travel to state sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
• Minimum 7 years in Product or Actuarial in P&C insurance.
• Minimum 4 years state management experience in P&C.
• Experience leading pricing and product changes and filing submissions.
• Strong knowledge of actuarial concepts and key financial metrics.
• Proficiency with SQL, SAS, or Python is required; Power BI/Tableau a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own P&L for 4–9 states, directly managing 2–3 states and overseeing others.
• Develop pricing strategies based on actuarial data and regulatory needs.
• Execute rate changes, file filings, and respond to DOI objections.
• Lead, mentor, and onboard Product Analysts and Managers.
• Present performance to senior leadership and track financial metrics.
• Drive process improvements and cross-functional collaboration.
