Job summary

AssuranceAmerica, a leader in non-standard auto insurance, is seeking a Product Manager to own development, pricing, rollout, and management of products in designated states.

You will liaison with Marketing, IT, Claims, Legal and the Executive Team to drive profitable growth, while meeting regulatory requirements and market needs.

Candidates should have 5+ years P&L experience and strong analytical, communication, and project leadership skills; a Bachelor's degree is required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' experience running full P&L over a state or group of states.
  • Knowledge of filing laws, actuarial principles, rate structures and policy form construction.
  • Strong analytical skills for data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree.

Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Growth: Develop and execute data-driven strategies to achieve profit, growth, and retention targets for auto insurance products within assigned state(s).
  • Product Development: Define features, manage the product lifecycle, create specifications, and work with IT along with other business units to achieve successful implementation.
  • Pricing & Underwriting: Analyze data to develop and adjust pricing, underwriting guidelines, and coverage plans, balancing innovation with financial soundness.
  • Market Analysis: Research market trends, competitor actions, and regulatory changes to ensure products are priced competitively along with identifying opportunities and risks.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Actuarial, Underwriting, Claims, Sales, Marketing, IT, and Legal along with external stakeholders such as agents, vendors and regulators.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Develop and manage state rate, rule and form filings along with interacting with State Insurance Departments, and ensure adherence to state regulations.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs for success (loss ratio, retention, growth) and implement corrective actions.

Job Summary

As a Product Manager, you act as the "General Manager" of your assigned state(s) holding full responsibility for development, pricing, roll-out, and management of competitive products. In this role, you will build and execute your strategic initiatives to drive profitable growth within your assigned state(s) to meet our customers' needs.
