Job summary

GAINSCO is seeking a data-driven State Product Manager to manage 2–4 states with full P&L responsibility. The role blends pricing strategy, regulatory filings, and cross-functional collaboration to drive profitability in a competitive market.

You will own state performance, present to senior leadership, and develop analyses using Power BI to support pricing decisions and product enhancements. Remote-friendly role with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.
• 5+ years in Product or Actuarial roles within Property & Casualty insurance.
• 2+ years of state management experience (personal auto preferred).
• Experience executing pricing and product changes including regulatory filings.
• Proficiency with SQL, SAS, or Python; Power BI/Tableau a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own P&L performance for assigned states and develop pricing strategies.
• Execute rate changes and ensure filings, coordinating with cross-functional teams.
• Identify actions for unprofitable segments and leverage underwriting and agency strategies.
• Present state performance and strategies to senior leadership.
• Achieve premium and policy count targets for assigned states.
• Partner with Sales to identify growth opportunities and optimize product positioning.
• Conduct market research and regulatory filings; monitor regulatory changes.
• Develop reports and dashboards using tools like Power BI.
• Collaborate across departments to implement innovative solutions.
