GE Aerospace is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to build the data fabric backbone for defense and systems data products. You will implement automated ingestion pipelines, APIs and connectors across hybrid cloud, on‑premises, and customer sites, with a focus on governance and access control.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience in data pipeline engineering or systems integration
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government SECRET security clearance
• Military experience equals professional experience

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automated metadata ingestion pipelines across distributed source systems
• Develop API and connector integrations for new data sources and data-product delivery
• Plan, schedule, and execute integration work for data products moving through the lifecycle
• Support schema-translation pipeline builds with Senior Engineer
• Wire the policy enforcement engine that operationalizes governance rules
• Partner with IAM and export compliance architects to validate enforcement logic
• Onboard and manage the technical operations of data products including monitoring and reliability
• Maintain technical documentation for federated teams
• Support onboarding SLA with timely technical assessment
