Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our legal team in Idaho with remote flexibility and required appearances. You will handle moderately complex civil litigation and workers’ compensation matters under supervision, applying legal research and client-relations skills in a collaborative environment.

You’ll work with Claims Representatives and insured clients, manage cases from inception to resolution, and contribute to efficiency and best practices within Global Legal

Qualifications

• JD or equivalent degree from an accredited law school.
• Idaho bar admission in good standing; other licenses may be required.
• General knowledge of insurance law, workers’ compensation, or No Fault.
• Proficient with e-discovery and case management tools.
• Strong analytical, research, and legal writing skills.
• Negotiation basics including preparation and active listening.
• Ability to manage cases from start to finish under supervision.
• Effective written and oral communication; collaborate with clients and attorneys.
• Organized and time‑managed with structured processes.

Responsibilities

• Litigation execution: manage all phases from discovery to trial and motions.
• Advise clients and claims representatives with strategic legal opinions.
• Utilize e‑discovery and case management tech to improve efficiency.
• Identify and mitigate risks; collaborate on resolutions with senior counsel.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance of pleadings and motions.
• Provide timely updates to insured clients and claims professionals.
• Contribute to organizational improvements within Staff Legal and Global Legal & Compliance.
• Uphold high standards of legal ethics and licensing requirements.
